Air Ambulance lands on Newtown Green after reports child fell from first-floor window in Belmont Place, Ashford

Police, paramedics and the air ambulance were called after reports a child fell from a first-floor window.

Emergency crews arrived at Belmont Place in Ashford just before 10am on Sunday.

The air ambulance landed nearby on Newtown Green but the child was taken to the William Harvey Hospital by road.

A spokesperson from the air ambulance said: “A helicopter from Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) was dispatched to Ashford on August 4.

“Our crew arrived on scene at 10:24 where they worked with SECAmb and Kent Police to help treat the patient, involved in an accidental injury.

“The patient was then transported to hospital by road.”
