Shoppers can now collect purchases from furniture giant Ikea at another Kent Tesco store.
Signs have appeared at Ashford’s Park Farm branch, with the supermarket yesterday becoming the fourth location in the county offering the service.
It joins pick-up points already set up at Tesco stores in Lunsford Park in Larkfield, Tovil in Maidstone, Whitfield in Dover and Westwood Cross in Broadstairs.
Customers placing orders online via the IKEA website will be offered the ability to ‘Collect from Partner’ once they have gone through the usual checkout process.
The collection is made from a van which is set up in the car park.
They are found in signposted areas outside the supermarket, with operatives on hand to give the orders out.
It’s free for all orders over £100, or £5 for all others.
It comes after the Swedish chain teamed up with Tesco to offer a “more convenient, accessible, and affordable” service.
The closest IKEA stores for people in Kent are at Lakeside in Essex or Croydon.
The first click and collect site was launched in October last year in Blackburn, with six other pilot stores gradually introduced in the following months.
The Broadstairs and Dover locations were announced in December.
On revealing these, Jakob Bertilsson for IKEA UK, said: "This national roll-out of mobile pick-up points is an exciting milestone in our partnership with Tesco, which will bring IKEA closer to people across all parts of the UK.
“As customer shopping behaviours change and evolve, we will continue to grow our service offer to make shopping with IKEA more convenient, accessible, and affordable than ever before."
