An Amazon Prime delivery van was spotted in a ditch near a children's play area.

The vehicle was stuck down the bank near Bulleid Place park in Newtown, Ashford - where two others helped recover it.

James Hazeldon's son saw the crashed van and called him on FaceTime to show him.

He then posted pictures of the blunder on Facebook.

"My reaction to it was 'how?'," Mr Hazeldon said.

"I also thought, that’s going to need a bigger recovery truck."

The pictures show the van in the ditch and two other vans attempting to pull it out.

The vehicle has since been removed.

An Amazon spokesperson said: "Safety is Amazon's number one priority.

"We are investigating the matter."

Police has been contacted for comment.
