A late goal gave Lydd a 1-0 victory over Mersham in the final at Reachfields in the Van Helen Division 1 Cup .

Lydd’s Jo Tibble went wide with two efforts in the second half but with 10 minutes to go, Wayne Beaney’s free-kick was converted by Andy Bennett.

Bliby will meet Lydd in the final of the Sunday section of the Ashford Charity Trophy but needed extra-time to edge Kennington 3-2.

Paul Burt (2) and Tommy Daws scored for Bliby, with Steve Ward and Chris Watts on target for Kennington.
