RO GOVETT: blinded in one eye in 2003 when a brick was thrown through her windscreen

A DRIVER had two bollards thrown at his car as he was travelling along the A28 between High Halden and Tenterden.

The 29-year-old Ashford man was heading towards Tenterden at about 6.35pm on Saturday when his Renault Clio was hit, on the right side, by the bollards. One struck the windscreen and the other the bonnet.

It was back in November 2003 that mother-of-three Ro Govett was blinded in one eye when a brick was thrown through the windscreen of her Peugeot 406 on the A28 at Bethersden.

A police spokesman said: “This is a very dangerous game and we urge anyone with information regarding the offender to contact Ashford police station on 01233 619167.”

The Crimestoppers hotline - calls to which are free and could result in a reward - is on 0800 555111.
