Police appeal for witnesses after man punched and robbed in Pot Kiln Lane, Bethersden

A man was punched to the ground and robbed when he went to talk to a fellow motorist.

The incident happened in Pot Kiln Lane, Bethersden, at 5.55am on Saturday.

A 26-year-old man was driving along the road when he noticed a man standing by a white transit van beckoning him to stop.

He stopped his car and went over to the man when a second man appeared. He was then punched on both sides of his face and fell to his hands and knees.

The attackers got back in the van and drove off towards Biddenden. The victim noticed some money had been taken from his sweatshirt pocket.

Police are appealing for witnesses to call PC Leanne Kingwell on 101, quoting crime reference ZY/5640/14.
