A family pet has been found safe and well after going missing from her home in Westwell four days ago.

Twenty-month-old Blossom, an apricot-coloured Chihuahua, was last seen in the driveway of a house in Watery Lane on Monday afternoon.

Her distraught owners had searched high and low for her and eventually alerted the police, fearing she had been stolen.

However, the pooch was discovered in Westwell earlier today and has been returned to her owner, who said: "We don't care what happened, we're just glad she is back.

"We searched everywhere for her when we realised she was missing on Monday.

"We had friends helping us. I remembered seeing a white van at the end of our driveway and it kept playing on my mind."
