An appeal has been launched to locate the owner of a First World War medal that was found in Ashford.
Police have released an image of the gold medal which was found at the back of Marks and Spencer's delivery area, in Drum Lane, by a member of the public.
The inscription '42900 PTE. T.S.D. CHEESEMAN ESSEX Regiment' is visible around the medal's edge.
A spokesman said: "This item is likely to be of huge importance and sentimental value to someone and we would love to be able to reunite them with it in time for Christmas."
They added that despite the medal's discovery in October, they've had no reports of missing or stolen medals but are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.
If you have any information or know who this might belong to call 101 quoting property reference ZY/25386/2014/F.
