Two BB guns have been recovered after police were called to reports of a man with a weapon this afternoon.

Officers went to Cross Stile in Ashford at 3.30pm today in response to the suspected firearms incident.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm.

The suspect remains in custody while officers carry out further inquiries.
