Doodle Man Sam Cox, from Tenterden, creates doodle mural in Bauhaus Cafe, Ashford

A popular local artist has spread the love with a unique Valentine's Day doodle.

Doodle Man - aka Sam Cox - created the huge art piece for Bauhaus Cafe, in Ashford.

Yesterday, the Tenterden artist covered the walls of the town's new cafe gallery in his unique style.

He said the idea was to spread love and awareness of young artists in the town.

He said: "It is great to have a space in Ashford for artists to have a voice as there is nothing else.

"Most of us don't have the space at home and some can't afford the expenses of an exhibition and it sometimes gets overwhelming.

"Here at Bauhaus Cafe you can get help and advice, and an exhibition space but we really want to involve local businesses and art lovers to come and support resident artists and makers to have a platform."
