Balloon release after Owen Kinghorn found dead

Friends of tragic Owen Kinghorn plan a balloon release in his memory after he was found dead aged 15.

Keen footballer Owen was found in a field off Great Chart on Saturday night.

Owen was a popular pupil at Towers School in Ashford.

His mother Rachael, office manager at Windsor Food Machinery in Hamstreet, said her son's death had left 'a massive hole' in her heart which would never be repaired.

Owen's friends now plan to release balloons in his memory.

Demi Sansom posted on Facebook: "Tomorrow at The Ridge in Kennington we are are all letting go of blue balloons in the memory of Owen Kinghorn at 4.30pm. Everyone who was close with Owen is wanted there and anyone else who wants to come to prove to Owen he was love so much."

There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding Owen's death.

Towers School principal Richard Billings said: "A bright, high achieving student, Owen had already successfully gained GCSEs in core subjects and was looking forward to a promising Year 11 and a bright future.
