A main road in Ashford was closed last night after a car and motorbike collided.

Police were called just after 8pm on Thursday night to the A28 between the Matalan and Tithe Barn Lane roundabouts following reports of a crash.

The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with what was described as minor injuries.

The car driver was uninjured.

The road was closed while the vehicles were recovered and re-opened at 10.40pm.
