Biker hurt in Ashford town centre crash taken to William Harvey Hospital

A motorcyclist suffered arm and leg injuries after falling from their bike in a town centre.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the junction of Mace Lane and Wellesley Road in Ashford just after 3pm.

It is not yet known whether any other vehicles were involved, but the motorcyclist was taken to the William Harvey Hospital.

The crash sparked delays in the town centre, with traffic building up on Mace Lane and Hythe Road as drivers tried to avoid the hold-up.

One ambulance attended the scene and police have been contacted for comment.
