A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after being involved in a crash with a car.

The accident took place this afternoon on the Ashford Road/Avenue Jacques Faucheux roundabout near the Park Farm Tesco in Ashford.

A witness has described the car's impact as being quite severe.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at 2.50pm today to a report of a collision between a car and a motorbike in Ashford Road, Ashford.

"Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and the motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital."
