Bogus callers trick pensioner

AN 83-year-old woman was targeted by two bogus callers who stole cash and jewellery from her home. A woman, claiming to be from Age Concern, knocked at the elderly victim's home in Tourney Close, South Ashford, at 10.15am Monday.
The caller failed to show any identification, despite being asked to by the woman, and then walked staright into the premises. A man then came to the house, claiming to be the boss of the first caller.
After showing the female caller around the house, the elderly victim again asked for identification - but this was not produced.
The couple left the house and headed towards Flax Pond Road. The woman then realised jewellery and cash was missing.
Police are appealing for witnesses and want to hear from anybody who saw the couple in the area.
The woman is described as white, aged 25 to 35, 5ft 3in tall and of medium build. She has a sallow complexion, brown eyes, black shoulder-length hair in a pony-tail. She spoke with a southern accent.
She was wearing a black waist length rain jacket with white trim on the zip flap, blue jeans, a gold ring on every finger and gold pendent-type earrings.
The man is described as white, aged 25 to 35, 6ft tall, of thin build. He has untidy, had short mousy hair, a fair complexion and was clean shaven. He was wearing a dark blue or black bomber jacket and dark blue jeans. He also spoke with a southern accent.
