Ashford: Boy, 12, punched several times in the face in Newenden Close, Stanhope

A 12-year-old boy will have to undergo surgery after he was allegedly punched in the face several times.

The victim was attacked by another boy in Newenden Close in Stanhope, Ashford.

He was left with serious facial injuries and requires surgery, police say.

Officers say the victim was approached by another boy - who was known to him - and was punched several times in the face.

The incident happened at about 5pm on Thursday, November 8.
