Ashford Town secured only their third away point of the season in Ryman League Division 1 South after a hard-fought 2-2 draw at mid-table Burgess Hill Town on Saturday.

Danny Curd gave the home side the lead after just two minutes when he barged home a header after a corner, but the Nuts and Bolts drew level after the break when young midfielder Ronnie Dolan fired past Joe Adams.

Town turned the game on its head eight minutes later when Mitchell Sherwood, pictured, looped a header past Adams but the Hillians grabbed a point when Lloyd Cotton curled home from 18 yards with 20 minutes remaining.

Folkestone Invicta remain joint-top of Ryman League Division 1 South after the first-against-second battle against Worthing at the Buzzlines Stadium ended goalless.

Invicta have two games in hand on the Sussex side and are four points clear of third-placed Walton and Hersham.
