Fire crews were called to a car fire on a main road.

Thick black smoke could be seen coming from the vehicle on Avenue Jacques Faucheux in Ashford this afternoon.

One fire engine attended at 2.14pm and crews left the scene by 2.35pm.

No injuries were reported.
