Static caravan at New Beach Holiday Park in Dymchurch destroyed by fire

A static caravan at a holiday park in Dymchurch has been destroyed by a fire.
Firefighters from Ashford, Folkestone and Lydd were called to New Beach Holiday Park in Hythe Road at about 7.30pm, yesterday.
The three crews used hose reels, a compressed air foam system and breathing apparatus to help extinguish it, leaving the scene after two hours.

Crew manager Tim Hanley, from Ashford, said: “The caravan was already destroyed when we arrived and the fire had spread either side causing damage to two others.
“The cause at this time in unknown.”
The static caravan was vacant.
Police press officer Andy Saunders said: "We were called at 8.15pm on September 2 to reports of a caravan fire in Hythe Road, Dymchurch.
"No injuries were reported and inquiries are on-going to establish the cause of the fire."
