Nine Allied Carpets stores in Kent have closed after administrators failed to find a buyer.
Nationally, more than 850 jobs have been cut at the failed homeware firm.
In Kent, the stores which have closed are in Ashford, Bromley, Canterbury, Dartford, Folkestone, Maidstone, Margate, Orpington and Tunbridge Wells.
Administrators said they had been forced to close 142 stores because they have been unable to sell on the bulk of the flooring firm’s branches.
The future of around 120 posts remains uncertain.
