A charity shop in Ashford has launched a new free pick up service for donations to combat bogus drivers taking bags from outside people’s homes.

Stock at the The British Heart Foundation charity shop, in New Rents, is running low after donation bags that were due to be collected from outside customer’s homes were taken by fraudulent drivers.

Now Tina Shorter, the store’s manager (pictured left), is urging customers wishing to donate to call ahead first so that driver Ron Pickering can make an appointment to pick the donations up, rather than leaving them outside people’s homes.

To use the BHF free collection service, call 0844 334 1400 or click here.
