Kent Police issues warning after two youths spotted playing on the side of M20 at Ashford

Kent Police has issued a warning after a shocking picture emerged showing two youths playing on a motorway.

Neil Horlock saw the pair this afternoon on the M20 hard shoulder at the Junction 9 (Ashford/Faversham) slip road, coast bound.

Despite a footbridge above them, it is believed the pair crossed over the carriageway.

Kent Police's Roads Policing Unit tweeted a picture of the pair, taken by Mr Horlock, today.

They wrote: "Do you know where your children are? The motorway is not a playground."

In another tweet the RPU added: "There's a foot bridge pretty much above their heads!"
