A dozen sculptures that have been located on one of Ashford's busiest roundabouts for years have been removed.

The roundabout in Romney Marsh Road - that leads to the Ashford Designer Outlet and the Asda supermarket - has been home to 12 sculptures, often referred to by residents as ‘coffins’ because of their similarity to burial pieces.

Now you see them

But the McArthurGlen centre is currently in the process of taking over the responsibility for the roundabout from Kent County Council and plans to transform its look.

Workmen have removed the ‘coffins’ and they will be replaced with a new landscaping layout.

Now you don't

David Maddison, the Outlet manager, has previously said the idea is to: “Transform the roundabout into a beautiful, landscaped garden.”
