Fire crews attend kitchen fire in Ordinance Way, Ashford

Fire crews tackled a blaze in the kitchen of an Ashford ground floor flat this morning.
Fire fighters were called to the incident in Ordinance Way at 10.47am.
The flats were evacuated.
Crews wore breathing apparatus and entered the property to extinguish the fire with a hose reel jet and a covering jet.
A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke from the building.

Occupants of the flat were out at the time.
Two fire engines attended the scene and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
