Ashford: Man airlifted to hospital after serious collision near Sainsbury's

Police are appealing for dashcam footage after a cyclist was airlifted to a London hospital after being hit by a car.
The incident happened just before 5pm near the Sainsbury's Bybrook store in Ashford at the junction with Simone Weil Avenue.
The man was riding a red and silver Apollo bicycle when it was involved in the collision with a black Audi A3 yesterday.
He suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital.
A spokesman for SECAmb said: "We were called at approximately 4.45pm yesterday to Simone Weil Avenue.
"Ambulance crews attended the scene and were joined at the scene by the air ambulance service. The man was airlifted to Kings College Hospital with potentially serious injuries."
An investigation by the serious collision investigation unit (SCIU) has been launched.
