Police are renewing an appeal for witnesses following a fatal crash on Canterbury Road last October.

The collision between a car and a motorbike happened at 5am on October 26 in Willesborough. Adrian Hyde, a Royal Mail worker in Canterbury for 22 years, died in hospital after his 50cc motorcycle and a car were in collision just three streets from where he lived.

The driver and passenger of a Ford Fiesta fled the scene (pictured above). Police have yet to speak to the car driver. It is thought they may have been injured and required treatment.

Herbert Road resident Mr Hyde left a widow Gina Trapmore, two children, Stephanie, nine, and Oliver, 13, and a stepson, Paul, 19.

DC Di Walker from the Serious Crash Investigation Unit said: "We believe that people may have information that will help this investigation, but have not come forward yet. I urge them to contact the SCIU witness line, in confidence, so we can further this enquiry."

Three men were arrested after the incident and have been bailed until February 9.

A 20 year-old Ashford woman was arrested for obstruction on February 1 and has been bailed until March 23.

If you have information contact SCIU on 01622 798538.
