Two young people have been arrested and a dispersal order put in place in Ashford following a spate of antisocial behaviour.
Police say they have had to deal with a 'number of incidences' and were forced to take action.
The dispersal order came into force in the town centre at 4pm yesterday (Sunday).
It covers the area within the ring road and gives officers the power to tell people to leave and arrest them if they return.
They can also take under 16s home.
The two arrested were detained on suspicion of aggravated public order offences towards police officers who were trying to disperse a group.
Posting on twitter they said: "We will not tolerate hate crimes towards our officers or staff".
Kent Police have been contacted for more information.
