A cyclist fell to the ground when he was robbed of his bicycle by two men in an alleyway.

Police have now released an e-fit of a man they want to speak to in connection with the theft in Ashford.

The cyclist was robbed by the pair, who were also on bikes, in an alleyway between Beaver Road and Bowens Field.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was cycling home from work when he was approached by another male cyclist who caused him to fall to the ground.

A second man on a bike then went up to the victim, and both threatened him with violence before stealing the bike.

The victim described one of the suspects as white, of thin build, 5ft 9in, with a local accent and an earring.

He was wearing a grey tracksuit top and had short, spikey and fair-coloured hair, and was clean shaven.

The second suspect was described as dark skinned, between 5ft 10in and 5ft 11in, with a local accent.

He was wearing a black puffer style jacket, jeans and had black wavy hair which was cut short on the sides, and dark stubble.

The police are now appealing for witnesses to the robbery, which happened between 6.35pm and 6.50pm on Friday, May 5.

They are keen to speak to anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspects, as well as anyone who may have been offered a red Rock Hopper mountain bike for sale.
