E-fit released after woman fended off would-be robber in Ashford

Detectives are hunting a man after a woman was attacked in an attempted robbery.

The victim was assaulted in Otterden Close, Ashford, before the suspect attempted to steal her handbag.

She shouted for help and the man left the scene empty-handed.

Police released an e-fit image of the suspect following the incident at about 10.30pm on Saturday, March 16.

The man is described as being in his late-20s to early-30s, about 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build and was reportedly wearing a grey top and light-coloured tracksuit bottoms.
