Ashford: Fabric Warehouse and Club Q snooker club building set to become 28 flats

Plans to finally transform one of Ashford's most prominent buildings are set to be approved.
Developers want to convert and extend the former Club Q snooker club and Fabric Warehouse in Godinton Road into 28 apartments.
The building has been targeted by squatters in recent months but bosses plan to use part of the ground floor as a shop, with a mix of one and two-bed flats above it.
Ashford Borough Council's planning committee will meet to discuss the scheme on Wednesday, and the scheme has been recommended for approval.
Planning consultancy firm Kember Loudon Williams has put forward the application on behalf of developer R & W Holdings.
The building, called Godinton House, was built in the 1970s as two floors of offices above a shop.
Developers say they will provide 41 parking spaces as part of the scheme.
