A fire in the roof of a McDonald’s fast food restaurant was put out by firefighters yesterday.

It happened at the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Centre, Ashford, at 4.40pm.

Firefighter Nigel Collins, from Ashford fire station, said the blaze was contained in the roof space.

Fire crews were called to the scene. Stock image.
