Firefighters were called out to a gas leak last night.

Two crews from Ashford were sent to Beaver Road, Ashford, at 7.30pm after a main was accidentally ruptured during maintenance work in the area.

Firefighters stayed for an hour on standby until workers from Transco sealed the leak.
