The opening date of American fast food restaurant Five Guys, has been revealed.

Bosses at Ashford Designer Outlet have confirmed the chain, known for its burgers, hot dogs and French fries, will open on Monday, September 16.

Five Guys is set to open next week (16308557)

Although not currently operational, the doors to the new restaurant were open when KentOnline visited the outlet this morning, with staff looking busy preparing for the grand opening.

It is set to open in the centre's £90 million pound expansion, which will see 50 new brands added to the site.

If you were to eat at Five Guys once a day, it would take you 684 years to try all the different burger and topping combinations.

There are currently three other Five Guys in Kent, in Canterbury, Maidstone and at the Bluewater shopping complex.

The burger chain previously featured on a list of restaurants banned from entering the shopping centre, but Ashford Borough Council has allowed the company to move in as they had no desire to open elsewhere in the town.

It will open in the centre's £90 million pound extension (16308559)

PUMA is also set to make a return to the centre.

The international clothing and trainer brand was one of the first stores at Ashford Designer Outlet, which opened almost 20 years ago.

The company - which employs around 14,000 people across 120 countries - is currently advertising for a retail store manager and retail assistant store manager to join the new store.

So far, YO! Sushi, Pret A Manger, Zwilling, Paul Costello and Lost Sheep Coffee have all started operating in the newly-constructed extension.

The Garden of England themed playground - which cost £400,000 - opened in May.

Krispy Kreme, which is positioned close to Marks and Spencer in an American-style trailer, opened last month.

Lebanese restaurant chain Comptoir Libanais signage has gone up (16308696)

The county's first ever Haribo sweet shop is also coming to the shopping centre.
