A woman was shocked to find her 90-year old fathers house had flooded – for the second time in just over two months.
Heavy downpours earlier today left the house in Steeds Close, Kingsnorth under more than 7 inches of water.
Firefighters were called and crews pumped out the water from the gardens but Elaine Osborne will have to empty her fathers bungalow using buckets and a mop.
Builders had only just started repair work on the house, owned by Frank Haynes, 90, after the first flood in November.
They stripped two rooms on Monday in preparation for further work but just days later, the house is under water again.
Elaine says she is just thankful her father had moved into temporary accommodation four days ago and was not in the house at the time.
She said: "We have literally just moved him out so the builders could start on the repair work.
"At least we had not replaced all the stuff that was damaged last time and invested loads of money in new things.
"There is a serious problem with the drains in the fields and something really needs to be done quickly or he'll never be able to move back in."
Elaine added that before November, her fathers house had not flooded at all in 45 years.
