A new footbridge has been installed almost a year after the former crossing was demolished.
A mobile crane was used to install the new walkway at around 8pm on Saturday and the work was completed six hours ahead of schedule.
During the overnight closure, diversion routes directed traffic along the A2042 and through Ashford.
A stretch of the A2070 leading from the Orbital Park Roundabout was open as usual to provide access to Barrey Road, Church Road and Ashford Retail Park.
The installation is part of Highway England's multimillion-pound Junction 10a scheme, which is set to be accessible to motorists later this year. The road scheme is expected to be fully complete by summer 2020.
Highways bosses had previously announced that they would pay for signals at the Barrey Road junction in Sevington - which links the A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road with the Ashford Retail Park - after a road safety audit found that they were the best option.
