Two arrested after man found dead at block of flats in Bybrook Road, Kennington.

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead in a block of flats in Kennington.

Emergency crews, including forensics teams, rushed to Cherry Tree House, in Bybrook Road, at 6.40am today over 'concerns for a resident.'

Police have now confirmed a 51-year-old man from Ashford, who appeared to have a head injury, was pronounced dead by ambulance staff.

Forensic teams were spotted at Cherry Tree Flats

A 38-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, both from Ashford, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in police custody.

Police officers are still at the scene and carrying out enquiries.

Police were called to Kennington

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Kent Police on 101 quoting incident number 17-0125 or Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
