Police were called to Singleton in Ashford on Halloween after it was reported that a group of young people were vandalising people's decorations.

Officers attended Gravelly Field at 7.55pm after it was believed that a gang of around 30 people were taking pumpkins from people's homes and smashing them.

They spoke to a group of people, who were not carrying anything at the time, and they were dispersed.

Officers from Kent Police were assisted by Kent County Council Community Wardens, Civil Enforcement Officers and KFRS on Thursday night during their patrols.

Despite the incident in Singleton, Kent Police say that there were in fact much fewer incidents this Halloween than in previous years.
