A fire in a garage in Ashford town centre spread to a boiler room and several cars.

Fire crews raced to the scene in Tufton Street next to The Phoenix just after 10.30am.

Smoke from the blaze spread to the first floor of a nearby commercial property, but there were no reported injuries.

Police also attended the scene and officers are investigating the cause of the blaze.
