Kent Police is appealing for witnesses
after a woman died in a fatal road traffic collision at the
weekend.

The crash took place on the A28 at Godmersham near Ashford at
3.35pm on Saturday.

Three vehicles were involved in the pile-up –
a yellow Renault recovery lorry, a white Ford Transit van and a
silver Suzuki Wagon.

A man and woman from the Folkestone

injuries. The female passenger died later that evening.

PC Dave Jeeves of the Kent Police Serious
Collision Investigation Unit said: “We believe that the recovery
lorry was in the process of recovering the Ford Transit van, which
had broken down, when the Suzuki Wagon was in a collision with
both vehicles.

“We are appealing for anyone who saw the
collision or who remembers seeing any of the three vehicles
involved in the minutes before it happened to contact us.

"Please call the Kent Police Serious Collision
Investigation Unit appeal line on 01622 798538.”
