At least 10 horses had escaped onto a busy road before a resident managed to contain them in a field.

The animals had got out of their penn on Saturday morning at 7.17am in the Ashford Road area of High Halden.

It is believed they belonged to the Retreat Animal Rescue in nearby Cripple Hill.
