The hunt is on for a cuddly rabbit who disappeared in Hythe during a family day out last week.

Three-year-old Alicia Atkins-White with her grandad Tim Atkins on the day Willa went missing.

Distraught Alicia Atkins-White, 3, is desperate for the return of Willa, her favourite toy, who went missing during a day out rowing on the Royal Military Canal, in Hythe with her grandparents, Angela and Tim Atkins.

Mrs Atkins said: “Alicia is missing Willa very much. She cried all the way home and keeps asking for her. She normally sleeps with Willa every night.

“We have told her Willa has gone on holiday.”

After rowing on the canal the trio walked to the High Street to get some chips.

It is believed that Willa went missing some time between then.

Mrs Atkins, from Shadoxhurst, added: “We retraced our steps, but had no luck. I have tried to find a replacement online but they don’t seem to sell them anymore.”

Willa, a character from the children’s book ‘Tell me something Happy before I go to Sleep’ by Joyce Dunbar, is a small soft toy rabbit wearing carrot pyjamas.
