John Barnes coming to Ashford for Q&A at The Phoenix Pub

Footie fans will get the chance to meet an England legend next month.

Mythical Liverpool left winger John Barnes will be taking part in a Q & A at The Phoenix on Ashford's Tufton Street on Friday, October 25.

John Barnes will be coming to Ashford on Friday, October 25 as he hosts a Q & A at The Phoenix on Tufton Street. (16320669)

Starting at 7pm, the player - who in 2016 was voted England's greatest ever left-footed player by The Times readers - will also be interviewed during the event.

Having won 79 caps for the national team, Barnes went on to manage the Jamaica national team and Tranmere Rovers for brief stints.

He also demonstrated his musical ability when rapping in the 1990 World Cup anthem 'World in Motion' by New World Order.
