Comedian Vic Reeves says he paints in the nude at his Kent home - creating art which has gained a big following in recent years.
The Charing resident, whose real name is Jim Moir, enjoys getting up early in the morning and portraying his latest imagination on the canvas - wearing nothing but his boots.
Now mainly focusing on his brightly-coloured art, the 62-year-old is making more money from his work with the paint brush than anything else.
Today marks the launch of his own exhibition in Manchester, and his pieces are sold to buyers from across the world.
Speaking to the Telegraph, he described how one winter morning he decided to bare all while painting.
“I thought ‘I’m gonna have to take them off’, so I painted in the nude with just a pair of boots on," he said.
"Apparently, Lucian Freud used to do that quite a lot. I don’t know if it was for the same reasons.”
The former Shooting Stars host, who loves birdwatching in the Kent countryside, seems to have now dropped his 'Vic Reeves' alter ego for good.
“It’s just the most popular character I’ve done, and people really did think I was Vic Reeves.
“It’s like Steve Coogan being known as Alan Partridge forever. Or Rowan Atkinson being Mr Bean.”
“My website still says Vic Reeves Art but that’s kind of a lingering from yesteryear. I don’t really know where Vic Reeves is.”
The comedian-turned-artist, who lives with wife Nancy Sorrell, revealed earlier this year how is living with a benign inoperable tumour.
It has left him deaf in one ear.
Speaking two months ago, he said: "I’ve got what’s called a vestibular schwannoma. It’s a tumour in my head. I’ve gone completely deaf, one hundred percent deaf, in my left ear. It will never come back.
"I’d rather hear than not, but it’s happened so you just get on with it don’t you. I’ve got used to it."
