Two teenage magicians from Kent have won a place in the Britain's Got Talent final.

4MG, a quartet featuring 18-year-old Harry Nardi from Ashford and 17-year-old Theo Mallalieu from Hythe, delighted judges last night when former contestants Stavros Flatley made a surprise appearance during their act.

The group received the highest number of votes from the public, taking them through to Sunday's grand finale alongside comedian Siobhan Phillips, who was the judges' choice.

The magicians, who appeared on Tuesday's edition of the live talent series, met at Alakazam Magic Shop in Ashford, where they trained ahead of the competition.

Mr Nardi's father Peter, who helps the boys to devise their tricks, runs the shop in Ellingham Way, which often plays host to the quartet as they rehearse their mind-bending moves.

Speaking after the show, he said: "The boys smashed it last night. They've done amazing, I'm so proud of them.

"We're just overwhelmed. It's just the wierdest feeling.

"We've got to get our heads together later on today and work on the final. I can't believe it. I honestly can't believe it."

Theo and Harry both work at Alakazam, while co-magicians James, 19 and Josh, 17 were customers.

4MG will be joining Finn the police dog and Flakefleet Primary School, who were the first acts to secure a place during Monday's semi-final.

Thanking their "phenomenal" supporters after the show, they said: "We can't emphasise how much this means to us."
