A 25-year-old man has been charged with a burglary and theft following an incident in Wittersham last week.

Ambrose Treeby of Queen Street, Paddock Wood, has been remanded in custody to Folkestone magistrates on Friday, June 19.

He was arrested in connection with an incident in which a 73-year-old woman discovered money missing from her purse after a man has called claiming that he needed to clean the guttering.
