A man fleeing an assault was pepper-sprayed after punching police officers.
British Transport Police began chasing two men after an assault occurred at the Ashford International train station last night.
The pair ran off and were found in the Ashford Designer Outlet shortly afterwards.
While one man was arrested for assault, the second then allegedly attacked officers by punching one in the face and one in the chest.
He was sprayed with pepper spray and also arrested.
Officers were assisted by staff from the Outlet, as well as Kent Police officers after a request for urgent assistance.
Both men have since been charged.
The first was charged with assault by beating, and the second man received two charges of assaulting an emergency service worker.
Both men have been released under investigation, but are due to appear at court in April.
Officers are also looking into criminal damage at the Designer Outlet in relation to last night's incident.
