A man ended up with his hands trapped under a car in a freak accident.

The accident, involving a 4x4, happened at The Rise, Ashford, at 1.15pm on Tuesday.

South East Coast Ambulance Service say that a crew was called out to reports of a man trapped under a vehicle by his hands.

A spokesman said: “A man in his 60s was taken to William Harvey Hospital with hand injuries. He had been freed by the time our crews arrived.”

It is not known exactly how the accident happened but Kent Fire and Rescue Service, who were also called, believe the victim had been working on the car at the time.
