Police have received further reports of catapult crime in a town after eight incidents were recorded in just three days last month.

The latest uses of the weapons - which are not illegal to own in the UK - took place in Victoria Park in Ashford on December 19, Leaveland Close on December 20 and Normandy Way on Christmas Eve.

No injuries were caused by the missiles.

It is believed the culprits shoot at animals such as birds and cats as well as people.

Police say CCTV reviews and interviews are being used to gain information.

Anyone with information or who wants to report a similar incident should call police on 101.
