A shopper's purse was stolen by a mum who had two children in tow.
The theft, which happened at Ashford's Asda branch on Kimberley Walk, caused a stir when the victim posted her experience on social media.
In a Facebook status, she said: "Had my purse stolen in Asda his evening, middle aged lady (accompanied by two young children) blonde hair tied in a ponytail, wearing a red patterned dress.
"Police are informed and luckily it's all on CCTV. Be vigilant guys."
In the last month, vandals smashed up the shop's bike storage facility and Sammy - a cat known for frequenting the store - was killed in a dog attack.
A police spokesman said: "We received a report of a theft at 6.52pm on Tuesday, August 20.
"It was reported that a woman had her purse taken including bank cards and cash, while shopping at Asda in Kimberley Way around 30 minutes earlier.
"Inquiries into the theft are ongoing."
