A mum was left "shaking like a leaf" after a metal sheet fell off a 4x4 and smashed into her windscreen.

Laura Giles was driving home from work when the unsecured object came hurtling towards her blue Vauxhall Corsa on the A28 in Ashford.

The care assistant escaped injury but was left fuming as the 4x4 driver failed to stop to check on her.

"I was driving along by Wyvern School when a black Mitsubishi Warrior - or something similar - came in the other direction and something just fell off the back," she said.

"It came flying towards me and I didn't have enough time to react.
